15% Passive Discount from Li Yong Rui

Explorers,

This will apply more to those of you who are not in the middle of nowhere foghorning, however a 15% discount applies PASSIVELY to all outfitting at stations he controls. Two High Tech ones I found are: Lembeva and Diaguandri.
MODULES
Goldstein Port in Lembeva carries almost every module possible (I've checked up to class 6). Diaguandri has about the same except the 5A FSD. Here are some examples of prices:
Adv Scanner - 1.3mil
A6 shield - 13.7mil
6A scoop - 24.4
6B scoop - 6.1
SHIPS
All ships he sells are at a discount as well! This includes but not limited to (Ray Gateway/Diaguandri vs. Irkutsk/Alioth):
Anaconda (124.9mil / 146.9mil)
Python (48.4mil / 56.9mil)
Asp (5.6mil, still cheaper in Alioth)
DB explorer (1.6mil)
DB scout (479k).

The Anaconda and DB Explorer were not available in Lembeva.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE ALIGNED WITH LI YONG RUI TO GET THIS.

There are also some passive discounts to high tech commodities that would benefit a trader.

I'd suppose this is the passive power of this particular faction, and as such lasts indefinitely (or at least: until patched to something different?)

All in all seems like Sirius Corp is THE political faction for explorers all things considered.

Heh, I was just docked there. Careful when outfitting a Diamondbex at Goldstein, there's no A4 scoop available.

One of the rewards for gaining Elite was the access to Founders World and the 10% discount. Now anyone can get better than that for most modules. Strange design decision.

Yes it is. That's why I posted it just in case it has a time limit... or FD just decides to pull it.

It saves money and reduces your insurance buy back.

I don't think so as it is listed as an intended effect within Li Yong's controlled or exploited territories.

On my way now. If ships are discounted as well, that's probably a bug, but here's my chance to get my discounted Conda from the CG back, which I lost. Also remember that cargo racks are 20% off in Mahon teerritorry and weapons 10% off in Hudson territory. Why in the world would I pledge to a power if being able to move freely between them I can put my fleet together at a substantial discount even compared to founders world (though without it's convenience to have everything there) ?

I look on Founders more as a convenience than anything else - it's nice having everything in one place so you don't have to bother about jumping around to find modules. Wouldn't say no to a higher discount there I suppose!

I think every faction has core system and exploited system features which apply to everyone and not just pledged members. For instance, Arissa Duval and her complete lack of black markets.

Orca is 38m cr at Sol at Abraham Lincoln, in fact all ships there seem to be at 15% discount, shame there aren't any good ones

Old thread but still usefull information. I have noticed though that the discounted systems tend not to have the higher end modules (6-8 the best I can usually find are class B)

Add to this list the Li Yong-Rui systems of LHS 20 and IX and you also have similar excellently stocked and priced ships and modules. I shop there all the time.

For RP reasons I will stick to founders. Having all in one station and not bothering to seek fitting is better than 5% more discount. Another Robigo loop and I'm done with trading.
