As the title says The GDC have a vote for the audience's choice award.

Game Developers Conference officials are excited to announce that voting for the Game Developers Choice Audience Award is open now, and will remain open through February 13th, 2015 at 11:59 PM PT.

This Audience Award represent an opportunity for the public to weigh in and cast a vote for their favorite nominee. Anyone who would like to vote for the Audience Award and be a part of the prestigious Game Developers Choice Awards can visit the links below, select the name of the game they'd like to vote for from a list of nominees, and enter a valid email address. Voters will then confirm their vote via email.

I was actually pointed there by the Devs of Alien Isolation.... As i really enjoyed playing that exccellent and scary game i feel a bit guilty, but actually its hours of fun against months to years... They simply stood no chance against one of my alltime favorite games since 1984...

Voted. Fingers crossed for the devs.

I think Elite missed out on far too many GOTY awards/nominations at the end of last year, probably because it came out so late in 2014.
