16th Day 1 Questions....?

I am one of the players that will be joining on the 16th, having not played any Elite since the days of the BBC - so my question is:

When will we be able to download the game - thats not play the game, but download it ready for launch? Will we have to wait till the 16th and then prey the servers dont overload, or will there be access to the game (download not play!) in the days running up to the 16th?

MIght I suggest a chicken and a good VooDoo shaman? LOL! No indication of predownlad yet, I suppose we can all cross our fingers.

If you've pre-orderd then you can download a demo of the game now. After that the upgrade to the full game shouldn't be too big.

As for access otherwise, Frontier tend to release at midnight of the day they said they were going to release so it might not be worth waiting up...

I think that the game will be downloadable only the 16 (and next days, of course) and Frontier will add more servers at amazon for this occasion

The demo is only about 1.5 GB. As far as I read, the full game is about 3.5 GB. I don't know if we preorderers will only have to download the missing part of have to download everything again. There has been no word from the devs on this as far as I am aware.

Ok at 3.5 GB its not that big, I was more worried it would have been a massive download and might be an issue getting it - now im not so worried

You get combat and training missions worth doing them all to get a feel of how to fly ,no demo of the game just so youre warned
