18 months in and finally made it

Greetings cmdr's I've been playing elite over 2 years 18 months in VR and I've finally hit ELITE in trading and it's been a fantastic journey loved every second. I've seen a lot of changes to elite regarding VR. Since my early days in the Dk2 now with the rift there have been so many changes/improvements over the time. I know people complain about things nor being right and granted elite has a bit to go VR wise but my god what a way to play this wonderful game loved it as a kid love it even more now roll on the years to come

Agree VR ED is the longest game I've played after Eve:Online (4 years solid).

Same here was happily delivering bio waste then delivered the last one an got a message thought it was Rep change as normal but low and behold founders world permit was a shock as didn't know what the progression was or how far from elite I was just knew last time I looked it was 88% towards what ever was next lol. I'm dangerous in combat god knows how I'm crap so not sure how many left till elite

Awesome only a little over 1/2 way there after 24 months but hope to acheive it someday. It gets harder the higher rank you get I breezed through the first couple of rankings especially in combat but once you get to Dangerous you have to complete dangerous ranked missions to advance so need more money for better ship, etc blah blah blah in order to get there. Game is definitely a grind but I am playing it the right way and do enjoy it. Congrats on your promotion

I got all the way to elite combat in vr.
Am 30kly out exploring in my asp now. I can't go back to 2d any more. Hell, I even drink beer when in 3d. I love it all so much I'm in the process of building a 3dof motion platform to enhance the experience further.

Thanks Raptoid it will happen but like you said it's the journey that counts in this game I like how it can take a long time to achieve some goals. And yes it definitely gets harder the higher you get cannot see myself getting there in combat I suck but do get it right sometimes . But want to try my hand at exploration next I think and try and get my head around being all alone and those strange noises and big flowers popping up and it not even spring yet .

Congrats cmdr that will be the last one for me. Exploring here I come once I get the right ship apparently my Annie should be good for exploring but might go for something a bit more sporty . Hope to see you in the deep
