Shame it's only common rocky. Seems like a dream mining ring. There is another awesome binary ring pair that are in full view of each other but also bad mining. Can't remember the system but the orbiter there is called fan orbited in empire space
It's not so great for mining, but it has 3 high intensity RES sites and a few low intensity as well. One of them in the daylight at all times, so it's a good place for some stress relieving pew pew... if you need a break from exploring.
