Hey guys,

There is a server update which has gone live today. There is no downtime and this will take effect over the next 12 hours.

Patch notes are...

- Applying daily limits to minor faction influence changes, these limits are based upon the star system as well as the amount of player activity to limit the large swings we've seen in recent weeks.
- Influence levels reset back to their starting values for the minor factions owned by Player Groups who have been affected by these large swings
- Fix minor faction conflicts so that stations and systems can once again change who controls them

For minor factions who have missed out on a chance to take control of a star system or station by winning one of the conflicts that ended between 6th October and 2nd November, there's still the opportunity to take control of a star system by having more than 60% influence and not controlling the station that controls that system.

Thanks,

Zac

Hi Zac

Thanks for the update - just one question:

The third point (fix minor faction conflicts) - will this cancel current conflicts or will they still be active after the update?

Thanks in advance

Hi Zac

I was wondering is the fix to the "Mission Target" colour coming any time soon? It is really hard to read in the grey colour. Alternatively is there a fix the user can do in some settings/config file on their end to have it in yellow or red for example?

Zac there was some ambiguity on which systems could be turned back...is there a list of those that cannot...or what was the criteria for not being able to roll back systems?

'For the player group minor factions that were affected by the massive drops we’ll reset them to their initial ownership state where we can.'

Any chance for the all of us that have been forgotten ???? I mean we are waiting for our minor faction since hmmm forever ? and now we got very behind of everyone else. We are in the 2º wave by the way.

Hi Zac, great news. Seems an opportunity was missed to include some of the factions from batch 2 (Achenar Immortals). Or have these been added now?

* Also, given that other factions have had a month+ head start, will the batch 2 factions get an increase in their influence to compensate?

The Canonn have a situation where their outpost went into expansion, but the expansion failed, for reasons unknown. The nearest candidate system is quite some distance from their home, iirc.

Thanks for confirming :)

BTW, I'll have some news for you, possibly even tonight. We didn't move far away... ;)

Zac, first you are saying that is now possible to flip stations and systems again. Then you tell us that if we were affected between Oct 6 and Nov 2, we can control the system just by influence alone without controlling the station.

Man, lets keep it clean for the sake of clarity: CAN WE FLIP STATIONS, AND SYSTEMS, NOW? and if we won the conflict back in that period, and we go beyond the 60% now, DO WE NEED TO TRIGGER AND GO THRU A CIVIL WAR AGAIN TO CONTROL THE STATIONS?

I don't want to control the system without the main station.

Thanks!

Well that is definitely a weird idea of controlling a system. That means in our system, the Federation can control the system and not own a single station...really? Or is it that you can start a war at >60% to take the controlling station?

Excellent news Zac, I'm really happy for this patch, Thank you! Just a question,

In Munfayl we won the war with a minor faction who control an outpost. It means that we will automatically recover the outpost ?

Again, a BIG thank you to all the team for this patch :)

I read it as you can take the system, if you fight for it, based on the verb phrase "take control," which is used twice. To me it suggests that player factions that didn't automatically get system ownership (although why they didn't escapes me at this time) and fought wars to wrest control from the dominant faction now have another bite at the apple, so to speak.

Is Expansion currently bugged? Any details? Thansk!

From our experiences expansions work well, reliably and predictably.

There is a bug, however, with replacing a minor faction. The replaced minor faction "flees" to the system where the expanded faction came from.

A faction with +70% influence in a system, ¿can take outposts and stations from the other factions with 5-10% influence, now? ¿or still necessary decrease our influence to cause civil war against other factions (totally ilogical...)?

No, you'll need to trigger a new conflict.

It triggers a new conflict (and has done for months) - they need to win that conflict to gain possession of the loser's main asset.

I wonder if that also addresses those un-winnable Elections?
Had my Faction lose an Election twice, 1st time in a ~90% vs. 6% scenario, 2nd time in a ~75% vs. 10% scenario.

In the meantime, it sitting in two other Systems stayed 100% passive despite having had upto 90% Influence and not owning the only Outpost in that System... nor exanding from another System where they're the controlling it already.
Just recently saw one enter War (and me being unable to support them - as no single Warzone Mission spawned for them despite having ~45% Influence and offering plenty of (not helpful) Pirate Kill-Missions)

Under these circumstances - there's been literally nothing I could have done for my Faction as they keep either losing elections or sabotaging themselves somehow (not triggering anything when they should, nor entering a long overdue Expansion Status)
