1993 Species Profiles

So it seems that we won't know anything else about either the update or the new DLC until next wednesday and this Feature Focus also mentions that it will be only another one. That leaves a whole week 'empty' before launch.

Do you think it's likely or even a good idea if they made Species Profiles for Compys and Pteranodons?

Seems likely, the other two major DLCs got individual species profiles.

There might also be potential for profiles on the re-models, but that might be excessive.

Im guessing next week will be a tid bit about jeeps and rangers.

Week after maybe some new screenshots of new skins.

After hearing raptors still won't climb out of fences im worried jeep damage will be limited to the default jw jeep and that the red, blue, and jp model will still be invincible because of the license thing.

That would be an odd choice, I would have thought that if Jeep wasn't okay with it, then it'd be a feature they wouldn't do in the first place.

Im just preparing for the worst lol. But hopefully it's all of them. The jw defeault n the platform exclusive green, yellow, and blue? Look generic and not like official jeep models. But maybe the default is official too.

Yeah I don't care for Frontiers teasing. lol

We get one feature focus per week leading up to release. Then they drip feed some stuff like they did with that Dr. Grant quote from the DLC.

This is a highly anticipated DLC, something certain people have been waiting and hoping for since the games release. You would think they would share a little more. But that's how they do things. It's going to be a surprise I guess and right before Christmas.

I would happily love to see a more in depth trailer of the new content of the DLC.

The prior expansions dlc came in a 1:10 minute trailer with narration and video clips. If we could not get species profile, at least something to showcase the compsognathus, the pteranodon, some attractions and buildings, and some legacy skin works. I just wish to visualise the compsognathus in the JWE engine.

I didn't care much about teasers earlier either, but I did enjoy the Species Profiles series. Just thought it would be nice to know more about Compys and Pteranodons this way.

We're going to get only one more Feature Focus, though: if you read the first one, they said it was the 'first of two', and the next one will launch next wednesday.

I also think the reason they showed so little was people's expectations. Frontier has been accused before of false adverstising (and I myself maintained so because of the incorrectly tagged 'in-game footage' clips of the raptor hunting and trike resting and such) and they've already done something similar with the Brachiosaurus' feeding from the tree (I think it was Steggs who already confirmed they won't actually eat from trees). Or maybe they just want to save much of the surprise for last time, in which case I think I won't be getting the DLC on december 10th, just in case.

My point precisely. I would just settle with the Species Profiles of both new species, tbh. I feel particularly intrigued by Compsognathus, don't really know why xd

I'm totally in love with the two new species

Previously I thought I wouldn't care by any new one but Pterosaurs, but Compys look really good! And if they are free-roamers... wow, imagine make a big exhibit divided with herbs and carnivores ala original Park Tour... I suppose we can use the Compy-fences for the whole perimeter and regular fences for the inside separations, so they would be roaming freely from paddock to paddock!

And those Pteranodons!! They look more awesome than I expected! Hope those weren't just pre-made videos and they do move this way, like 'free' dinos, but within the Aviary.

Frontier! This time you made my Christmas!!!

This DLC is a must buy for me on day one. I don't really care if they Brachiosaurs eat from the trees or not. I was thinking it might be an option in sandbox which would be nice.

They also have a John Hammond voice actor. Looks like I was right. I found that just as exciting as getting to see the Compys in the species profile.

The Compys are free-roaming. I hope the Pteranodons will be fully fledged creatures too. For me, they are by far the most interesting creature in the DLC so far.

Me too! They could be easily the only reason I would get this DLC. Thankfully everything else looks wonderful too =)
