Totally possible. Have someone give you enough palladium to buy yourself a T6 and then find a good trade route and trade your butt off, upgrading to the next best trade ship as you go, until you have it.

Tbh....if I was to try that...i would have to take time off work...easier to earn the 150 after 2 hours work.

Standard trade expectations
T6 : 1.5 - 2mil per hour
T7 : 3.5 - 4mil per hour
Python: 4 - 6 mil per hour
T9 : 7 - 9 mil per hour
You can make more profit now that they have seriously buffed smuggling but even without that, you can make a lot of money fast.

If you are pledged to Hudson you get a bonus from combat bonds and since Hudson is (or at least was last week) #1 the bonus is bigger. Spend a day or two getting your rank up with him and then do CZ's. It is pretty easy to get over 1 million per hour without any bonuses. Not to mention, if you get to level 5, that is 50 million salary, 1/3 the price of the ship and if you can do that on week one and maintain it the next, you only need to earn 46 million.
And now for the math... It should only take 146 hours doing CZ's to get the credits... With only playing 10 hours a day, you could have the Anaconda in 15 days (yes, it's a little sarcastic, but still possible)! Although, is the $150 worth that much?

Thanks man! I have three weeks off from work so it's a fun challenge that in reality isn't worth it, but if I do it I can go out and have a really fancy dinner!

Hey, bragging rights are invaluable.
Nothing but hardcore trading would make anyone crazy after a while, maybe switch it up with the occasional BH or CZ trip, just set a goal for what you need to make in an hour and stick to it. I can trade, but it gets very very difficult to do as I get tired so I would switch it up to a combat situation for an hour or two, sign off, get some rest, then start the next round trading until you get burnt, do some combat, rinse repeat.. Trade routes change pretty frequently, always monitor and adjust as needed..

I've got a route lat gives me 1.2 million one way in like, 2 minutes. Not sure what the hourly income is on that, but I went from a T7 to a fully kitted Clipper with 20m in teh bank in a couple days of lazy trading.
Agree, since the 'point' of the game isn't to own an Anaconda. But to each their own I suppose...
The "point" of this game is whatever he wants it to be.
