2.1 beta, something for explorers to watch for

If like me, you fit a small power module to get max jumprange, beware that it is mandatory that the the hanger bay is now powered. This could leave you with a situation where you land on a planet, engines shut down and you activate the bay but forget to turn other modules off. When you deploy the SRV and either select dismiss or drive more than 2km away, the ship WILL NOT take off but will close the bay, locking you out. The only way back in is to self destruct the SRV and even then, when you respawn, your ship will be plummeting planetside fast and you need to be quick to power down the hanger bay to avoid ship loss too.

I've reported it as a bug but so far QA say the ship is now working as intended. So, either fit a bigger powerplant or be careful you always shut down enough modules before enabling the hanger bay.[up]

That's probably not the only way back in. Logging out to the desktop and firing up 1.6 ought to do the trick without losing your SRV or causing your ship to plummet.
