At a guess I would say 1st or 2nd week of June. I can't see it getting any later than that as they have 2.2 to come out in the summer as well, which is likely coming end of August.
June. Mention was to defer 2.1 into the 2nd half year. May is still 1st half.

Month of beta, sure. But after that they're gonna' need some time to make any changes deemed necessary. Hence I reckon late June.
(hopefully) any changes will just be tinkering with the databases, tweaking damages / boosts / payouts and other boring stuff.
fingers crossed most of the actual game breaking issues will already have been squashed in the 2-3 month internal "super polishing period" that it has just come out of.

In their latest trading update, Frontier have indicated that the length of Beta will depend on feedback from those Beta testing. In a previous statement, Frontier advised that 2.1 would not be released in their current financial year (which ends on 31st of May).

Hopefully that'll be the case, but if I were a developer, I'd want a safe time to make any emergency last-minute changes that were missed by internals, but found by external play-testers.
hm no rush for 2.1 i guess. there's a LOT to test, as staded by willowfan,
but i'm wondering if the stuff from 1.6 will be released earlyer than the rest or is it one giant birthday package for V8UC ALICORN? XD cant wait for all those goodies to happen^^

no rush here either TBH. having just got my rift to replace the one i sold in december, I am just happy to be back IN my ship again, so will happily make do with current content.
