2.1 Ship Loadouts

Worst advice.

If there's any module (besides power plant) that you want A rated on the vulture, it's the thrusters.

Maneuverability is key.

D thrusters aren't that bad actually, I did use them for a while to see how ditching weight balanced the power usage.
That said a-rated ones will get you out of trouble quicker than you got into it.

Based on what? Have you actually tried D thrusters? It has amazing manauverability without needing A's, that's the point. Even with D thrusters and a combat fit, you're wayy below the optimal mass in this ship, and it still turns like a god. Opposite of say, a courier which easily runs too heavy even with the A thrusters, which really kills of its maneaverability.

A-thrusters are basically overkill on this ship. If you want your turning and speed to be absolutely best possible then sure go with A thrusters, but if you're struggling for power, ditch them, pound for pound they're really not worth it.

Based on actually knowing what I'm talking about. Both A and D class thrusters will leave you under optimal mass, however the multiplier has a much greater effect the closer to 50% optimal where the effect is soft capped.

D class thrusters will leave you with a weight around 70-75% optimal mass depending on build. A class will leave you at around 40-45%.

It's like the difference between fast rolling and mid rolling in dark souls. D class thrusters leave you mid rolling. It's "alright" but not as good as it can be.

Yeah I know that stuff too. Good analogy! I'd say midrolling is a little far, it's more like the vagueness of DaS2 somewhere under fastrolling but still better than your average midroll. It certainly ain't fatrolling like an overladen courier is prone to. It's the speed that's hurt the most by downgrading vulture thrusters, but hey it ain't gonna win any speed contests to begin with, it doesn't really hurt it in its more-or-less specialised field of a heavy fighter, good at taking on bigger slower ships.

Yeah it's not that bad. It's certainly still one of the most maneuverable ships even with D thrusters. That's the Vultures thing though.. it doesn't have a great top speed, but saying it can turn and those lateral and vertical thrusters :3

Making the thrusters D class takes that niche away from it. Instead of being phenomenal, it's just good.
