can 0ne of you math genius's help me with my shields please, at the moment im running a conda with 7a prismatic grade 5 reinforced shields that are 202% modded strength 1xa g5 hd booster 64.3% unmodded 20% modded 221.3%/ 1xa g5 res aug 14.8% shield boost 24.6% / 3xe res aug 11.9%--12.2%--12.3% 2x point def / 1x kw scanner i have 1xgrade 7b scb what i'd like to know is do i have to trim the boosters down or am i ok at the moment. if my shields get down to the last ring it seems like everybody is firing rail guns and once my 5 scb's are gone, by the time i can jump out 10/15% of my hull is gone.any and all help will be gratefully appreciated.

Whatever you do now will be changed after the new update, shields are getting a downgrade, particularly the big three ships.

You may want to stay tuned.

Also, from your description, you are waiting way too long to bug out from the situations you are encountering. Further, are you in PvP or PvE? A PvE build could get you wiped in a PvP environment.

At 10-15% hull you are a blink from a re-buy, no margin of error. I bug out when my shields get to the last ring and slightly faded if I am out of SCB's. You can take chances in small ships (low re-buy), not in the bigs unless re-buys aren't an issue.

i only play solo pve cos after weeks of grinding to get a conda with all A rated core modules i ventured out in open where i used to play and within 5 mins was attacked by a griefer with no warning and all he said before i went bang was " ha ha i win again" . when i said 10/15% of my hull i meant 85/90% left , i also have mil grade comp, 1x 5D /1x4D hull rein pack modded to grade 5 thermal res 1x 5D module rein pack 1x5A AFM , all my weapons are g5 modded so i wasn't too worried but if im gonna be nerfed any more the only thing im worried about is the canopy which i know is one of the first things to go when you lose shields and as far as i know can't be modded.

I didn't think shields where getting a downgrade. I thought it was shield boosters. But as I run my combat ships with only one shield booster and resistance augmented, I will see zero difference.
All depends on your outfitting.
