2.3 Camera Range Reduced?

Hey Guys, can anyone confirm if the external camera range has been reduced.. It seems I cant move further than 250m from my ship.. Before I could get up to 3km!

If Frontier have changed this.. MY GOD.. CHANGE IT BACK.. 250m is NOTHING.. at least give me 1000m.. sigh...

Or is this all in my head? lol

It seems that if you're landed on a planet, the range has been limited.

I'll need to test for if you're flying in space.

I am in orbit of a landable planet.. maybe thats it... well this sucks

YUP... thats it.. if your in low orbit around a planet, you can only get around 250m from your ship.. However if your out of orbit of the planet, then up to 3km

Just tested it.. DOH... thats just screwed up something I was working on.. lol

Yeah I'm in free flight near a planet surface and the distance does indeed appear to have been limited - kinda sucks.

I've put this in as a bug report, 250m is totally useless on planets. Although it does work ok for SRVs.

Why limit this at all? It's as silly as having the ship auto take off when you drive further than 2 km away in your SRV.

Do you have the problem of when you go into external camera mode on the SRV, that the SRV just starts to accelerate on its own?

What I would give for a fixed camera that tracks my ship/srv though...
