2.3 download for VR

do do you download the 2.3 update through the Oculus app or via the Elite Dangerous web launcher?.....

or both?

I use the normal launcher, not steam nor oculus.

I suspect they just push a patch or something.
But mostly I just log in via the normal install.

So wouldn't now.

I just recently started to have it installed via oculus for my second account, that way I don't have to type any logins when I switch.

I made the mistake of using the upgrade button in the launcher despite being installed in steam.

It upgraded fine with the play button only to crash on loading. Turned out steam was doing a full download on top of it as well so now i cant play having to wait for another 10 gb to come in.

(I have on oculus store but until i can select install directories i cant use it. The best games are reserved for my m2 ssd of which ED is one)
