2 generations later we can play Elite together

Hello all,
Something happened wich i think was fantastic, was to see my nephew playing Elite Dangerous at 9 years old and doing a pretty damn dogfight !!!
I am 51, so it is 2 generation later and we can play together on a game (a bit/much remastered) i played 30 years before.
Thanks David and all Frontier team to make this possible :)

This is brilliant! I hope Sylv3r and nephew go on to become an Elite team in-game. Hopefully in another 30 years your nephew will be showing the new Elite game to his descendants. :)

I remember paying the original Elite back in the day and imagining what it would be like if the other ships were real players.

And it's happened, who'd thought it!? Well me obviously but yeah it happened. =)

I too played Elite many years ago. Started Elite on a C-64 (don't think there was a Vic20 version) then Amiga (awesome machine) before finally biting the bullet and going over to the dark side and getting my first IBM PC compatible 486 I think, I forget, thats what happens when your older then dirt. Owned and played every version released for way to many hours. I was stoked when ran across Elite Dangerous day before Xmas. Immediately bought myself a last second Xmas gift :). I was like Ralphie wanting his Red Rider bb gun, I had to have it. Wish I had known about the beta I'd of sure been there.


In the process of setting up VoiceAttack, look out world(s), I may be harmless now but don't intend to stay that way for to long, got my first kill and bounty collected when got jumped early this morning, could not believe I survived, what a rush of memories. I do miss the playing of the The Blue Danube Waltz when docking. Been sick with the flu for days but not stopping me from enjoying space flight.

Hope you and your nephew have many great hours playing together.
