2 Hotas?

Looking at the 2.3 camera system it seems like one of the issues might be controlling the camera and ship... I've got both a T1600m FCS and T flight hotas x... Anyway too use the x to control the camera and T1600 to control the ship?

To answer truthfully, I dont know 100%, but it will be difficult, BUT what I have made yo work is 2 different mice. I use this as the Buggy turret directional controls are useless and choppy. So I used a mouse I had lying around (Which has internal memory and a programming interface) , a small app called HID macro'es.
In Elite turret control was set to mouse, In Hid macroes (which can specify a keystroke to a device( and only that device)) I specified fire , target, secondary Fire, targets panel to different buttons. In the control panel for the mouse; i did the same, but ONLy to do this when in in aternate mode (3 modes excist), saved config to mouse, and voila!
I now have 2 mice which behaves completely different, one is ordinary mouse, the other only acts in Elite in a special way!

The programmable mouse is a Bloody Mouse, made by A4Tech.

Cheers Cmdr's

I don't see why this wouldn't work. I've bound the controls from an XBox controller for the camera and use my T1600m FCS to control the ship. Works fine. I just need more hands :)

Will probably work as the computer sorts them out with individual control addresses but might be confusing to use both at the same time in-game. FYI I use a Logitech G13 gamepad exclusively for the camera suite. All the camera controls, analog stick for pans plus programming to setup some great flybys. I can then run a program and concentrate on flying. Just one of many ways to go. Always good to have alternatives to choose from.

I have the similar Belkin n52-te which I have used for years... I will likely add a camera profile to it as well. It's just that a joystick would work better for pointing the camera...

I was considering a trackball for the mouselook action in the cockpit- I tend to use the TV for ED which is a few feet away, so I'm not sure if TrackIR would manage this (in fairness, I haven't looked into that). Would ED treat that as a mouse, or a seperate controller?

Figuring it would help me with my studio to- could perch it on top of a synth keyboard when recording rather than using the mouse (curved surfaces etc-a pain for mousing)
