These two technologies exist today in 2019 and since Elite: Dangerous plays in 3305+, perhaps we can see them then too.
First one is a Visual Stealth Coating, it could be implemented as an in game armor purchase, drawbacks could include less resistances and more heat generation.
The purpose would be to make the vessel far less visible as the coating would bend the light around the vessel, great for Silent Running flights.
It suppose it could make a great addition to Elite as it would bring more "flavour" into loadouts and make older tactics more viable aswell as create new ones.
Most interesting will this feature be for PvP but also for PvE if the Intelligence of the bots is adjusted accordingly. The ships with the coating would still show up on sensors, as due to their heat signature, but would pose a greater challenge due to their visibility.
Bots could perhaps derive their ability to "see" the vessels flying such coating with their ranks, scaling with their combat abilities.
The coating itself could be quite expansive to purchase and to repair, for balancing reasons.

The second one is more of a "gimmick" over the current "Night Vision".
Bassically a very capable color night vision, the concept is that it would simply show the enviroment the player sees in the day over the enviroment he/she would see in the dark (perhaps a bit more grainy).
The effectiveness of that could me made dependent on how many "lesser" light sources there are such as stars or light reflecting of off other celestial bodies.
But seeing that apparently in Elite: Dangerous there are cameras that can zoom in HD over several light seconds the color night vision would be very advanced over todays.
I imagine it would be harder to implement than the current "Grid Night Vision" in the game but I hope that such a feature would be possible to achieve without causing too big performance issues.

Perhaps Heat Vision could be implemented too, it could also be a good counter for the first suggestion.
Edit: I realized that with the current grid night vision the first suggestion would be next to useless without it having an effect on grid night vision too.
