2 monitors, but not split screen?

I currently play on a single monitor. I'm loathe to get 2 monitors because I couldn't handle that bezel in the middle, no matter how thin. Then it occurred to me, is it possible to have a 2nd monitor off to the side, showing information instead of the cockpit? So Galaxy or System chart, or ship status or something.

?

No. We only have the forward view. Compared to your average flight sim there isn't a lot to work with in terms of views.

Three monitors, however, is nice.

So it's possible to have one monitor front and centre with the game in full-screen mode, and another monitor off to the side for browsing, spreadsheets, etc?

Hmm... Seems a bit of a missed opportunity. Was tempted to do it just to have chrome open on the other monitor for information checking etc. That would have sealed it.

Hope they implement something like that in the future.

Well yeah you can do that with any game. Windows does that by default. I meant having 1 monitor front and centre for the cockpit, and one to the side with additional info (Galaxy map for example) but still in game.

This is how I play. Main monitor is the game itself, second monitor (mounted high and left) has Discord, Pandora, Youtube, Netflix, whatever flavor is currently floating my boat. Hell, during jaunts across system in SC where the trip is more than half an hour I'll even open up Rocket League and slam some balls around for 20 minutes or so before going back to ED.

This would be very nice indeed.

Yeah, you can have one monitor for the game and another for general other windows stuff (or, I guess, even another game if you were so inclined and the game cooperated.)
But you can spool stuff off of the main game window into another monitor. That'd be quite cool, though.
