Newcomer / Intro 2 questions, navigation + frame shift drive

Hello every one first time poster and loving this game, just 2 questions.

1. If I take a contract to kill pirates and it says there in say the everate system does this mean they can be found at everate 1 everate 2 etc or is it only everate?

2. I think it's when in frame shift drive I notice when playing solo some one like drags me out of frame shift drive and starts a fight, how can I do this to people I see who is wanted? Do I need to buy some thing to be able to do this?

Thank yo for your help.

For the kill pirates missions, Go to the nav beacon or resource extraction sites. Hang around in normal space and wait for one to scan you. They send commanders messages like "what are you hauling?" or "don't worry, the scan doesn't hurt." Kill those guys.

As for your second question, you need a frame shift drive interdictor. It's an internal module that you buy for your ship in the outfitting section. If you're in the Sidewinder, it will have to replace either a cargo rack or your basic discovery scanner. FSD interdictors result in guaranteed combat when you use them, so you want to keep your shields.

The pirates will be at USS or nav point.... They will be wanted and will scan you and comment "waste of time " etc ... Most have imaginative names... Keep checking your mission in left ui panel to see if the kills count..... Also you will find a go between at an USS who will try to persuade you to give up the mission and take another for more credit....the mission will update... Just ignore and carry on ( don't kill him, he's never part of the mission kills ) ..... You will just get wanted yourself .... You will need an interdictor .....

I don't think he'll need an interdictor. I had one on my Cobra, but that was after some 150 hours of game completing plenty of kill pirate missions. Even then it wasn't an absolute necessity, and I got rid of it. It's useful for bounty-hunting, just not something you can't do without like a kill warrant scanner.

I didn't know for the 1st few weeks that you had to exit supercruise at the nav point. I was just going there and looking for USS. Doh.
There is no in game reason for anyone being in normal space at a nav point, it's a game mechanic. That's my excuse.

You're absolutely right! When a CMDR comes out of hyperspace, Theyre always in supercruise. Why should the NPCs behave differently?
