Preface: I am stupid and lazy, I am never going to git-gud. I shot before the scan completed. My fault.

I added two small multi cannons OC'd to level 5 with Corrosive and Emissive special effects 11.5 DPS each, what's that in damage per shot? Not very much! :rolleyes:


Before I had completed a scan on a Python I popped off a shot and saw two shells (one from each MC) fire and hit the Python I immediately stopped firing. I became Wanted.

The NPC's shield health before the engagement was 32.39982 and appeared to go up to 32.4455953 after hitting with the two shells (am I reading that right?).

So what's the deal? This is a tiny amount of damage... I thought there was supposed to be a reasonable threshold before incurring a bounty???

Friendly fire tolerance only counts for authority ships. Civilian ships don't count.

Not so - I was in an Unauthorised Installation last week, where the only ships are pirates. Shot at a pirate, another pirate I hadn't scanned yet dived in front of four overcharged multicannons for a good fraction of a second .... only got a reckless discharge fine for it.
