Happy to report that Winging up and taking the same missions whilst playing background sim is working very well good job Frontier. Myself and a friend who have over 1000 hours winged up with some newbie friends last night with less than 100 hours. The only complaint really was the wingman nav lock pulling us in and out of supercruise randomly and sometimes when jumping into a wake the instance loaded empty so had to jump out and in again manually to load our friends and the NPC ships. The last time I had a wing of more than 2 people was back when Wings and Powerplay launched. Last night we a great experience and almost perfect bar the nav lock issues.
1. We could "ALL" see the same missions at our minor factions station and we could all take them with varying rewards according to rank.
2. Background sim/minor faction rep changed after completing several missions so we can see progress.
3. Bounty vouchers and kill rewards were all shared properly they no longer glitched or don't reward someone.
4. Landing on a planet and going to the same location worked with no de sync at all.
Wings is now a very good experience the only real minor moan was a 5th friend really wanted to join us but we were limited to 4 people. It's a shame that missions still seem single player orientated but I'm sure Frontier will add some bigger more exciting coop ones soon! What I mean by this is when you have a mission to kill targets sometimes the target is pretty much dead before the last wing man gets into the action. One or two people in a wing seem to spend more time following you then engaging in the action or fun part of a mission. It's only when you go to Conflict Zones or RES sites that all 4 really get involved. I mean we can live with the current mission style but I'm sure people will understand what I mean.
