2 weeks without fixing - Steam client asking for update

Still has no fix for the steam client asking for an update.
I've already uninstalled and installed the steam and elite.
The game only runs if I run from the EDLaunch.exe


And I can't create a bug report in the new tool, ask to try later (I'm 'trying later' for days).

Just go into steam, right-click elite, go to properties, click set launch options under the general tab, type /edh, hit ok, close. Launch game.
