$20 for 5 new ship unlocks?

I don't know about you but I would pay $20 for 5 new ships that unlock and can be purchased in game with credits. FDev could probably make considerable profit and churn out new ships every 3 months.

Not realistic at all. But one can wish.

I'd pay $30 for 3 ships if they were

Panrther Clipper

Medium Saud Kruger

Medium Gutamaya

How can there STILL be 2 mfgrs that have not yet produced a medium sized ship?

Haaaave you heard about Star Citizen? ;)
Really can't compare the games even if they did what I suggested. They don't need to be pay to win. Different styles of ships, different configurations not necessarily more powerful. I think simply having more variety would be enough to entice most people to buy them.

So 5 ships that are worse than the ones you already have? Less armour, lower shields, shorter jump range, fewer hardpoints, less cargo carrying capacity, forgive me but......where's the actual incentive to buy them?

Argghh!!! More pay to play. !
Jesus!
Subs yeah if it helps! But that's pay to play too. Seems all we are is potential cash cows.
I see a pattern.
Suckers!
So I'm drawing a line in my sandpit.
Now there's another kid on the block due out march 2025 free to play basic but framed around a starcitizenesque suck you in pay up gamer model.
Oh boy its happening isn't it. All going to crap.

what game is this? not heard of anything.

I'm not a fan of nickle-and-diming customers for every little feature. Pay for this... pay for that... nah, that sucks.

I would gladly pay $20 for a DLC... that includes 5 new ships. Maybe some more missions, expanded station and fleet carrier interiors, more fleet carrier options, and some more ingame activities. Nothing extraordinary, just an Odyssey expansion pack. Sounds good to me. Actually, I think $50 is okay.

There's a post about this game on the forum. If anyone's interested in the development l suggest they go read it.
Nuff said

Maybe keep your Tantrums in check a bit. Elite isn't, never was, and never will be pay to pay or, worse, pay to win. If other games choose to charge their players for playing, you have the privilege to ignore those games.

Ive been following that since Mr Wager did a quick stream on it, its fine but it just seems to be an exploration game, nowt to do, its a long long way off being a challenge (if ever) to ED.

O7

If it was an exploration game with planetary landings I might be interested, I haven't heard anything in that regard yet but keeping an open mind.

I never mentioned elite being pay to play, I suggest you read better before censoring others

No I said I'd advocate subs for elite. But I know that's not going to happen. The rest of the post was about SC and starship simulator.
My frustration is centred squarely on the developers of games of late who as predicted long ago. Build their new games around pay to play.
Anyways glad we cleared that up
