As title says, off hand ideas thought up in the bathroom.
1. New weapon type specialised for subsystem disabling. Minuscule/no hull damage, fair/small shield damage, fair/good subsystem (effective) damage and needs shields down to have that effectiveness. Perhaps only temporary effect, 10/15/20 seconds?
2. Snakeskin paint jobs.
3. Nearest 'faction name here' system finder in galaxy map.
4. Notes, saved locally.
5. Engine sound customisation, e.g. more/less throaty. Implemented with a new customization slot.
6. Laser colour customisation, again with customisation slot.
7. Detailed system/station reports in the manner of daily traffic reports. Factors hindering progress, outpost development/growth status, important mission requirements for said growth, explanation of role played by boom/bust/famine/lockdown/unrest.
8. More pure combat missions viz no cargo pickup requirement. So far, in an allied station have personally never seen more than one or two combat missions at a time where there are many courier/hauler/supply missions at a time.
9. Progress bar for faction status.
10. On larger ships with bigger cockpits, when free looking, redundant monitor showing image from previous elite games. Purely cosmetic.
11. Option for male computer voice. I'd suggest the chap who did CABAL for Tiberian Sun.
12. No faction status loss for killing wanted ships in that factions dominant jurisdiction when faction is not anarchic. Do they want the law enforced or not?
13. Fines only from protracted fire or if over a damage threshold. Made possible when of good reputation with system/galactic faction? Perhaps a mission that gives strict local system deputy authority status once allied, tie this in to no faction standing loss for wanteds?
14. Space chavs. Flying neon Sidewinders. Carrying cargo of cheap cider.
15. Numerical values for armour/shields effective HP on optimal hull mass. They are given when buying a ship, why not when selecting ship modules?
16. Combat bond scaling for ship size, 3k/6k/9k. Flat participation fee for disabling capital modules, 500 cr perhaps.
17. OPTIONAL return of dense light clutter during non FSD flight. Graphical toggle or scaling option.
18. Module for half n half flight assist. No compensation for thrust but for rotation. Not sure on this one.
19. Station cargo bays, pay 4/8k returnable deposit when done and 1-2k fee.
20. Gambling on galnet event outcomes.
