2018 wish list for beyond

1) stop using jump distance as a way to segregate ship classes. Use the amount of fuel on board instead.

2) combine the advanced discovery scanner and the DDS scanner into 1 unit.

3) stop the materials collection ( I think this is already getting fixed).

4) release the new ships, ASAP, as I’m excited for them.

5) fix wings instances, so that we can see each other’s ships.

besides that, keep up the storyline.

Oh and

I'm a big fan of your ideas 1, 2, 3 and 5. :)

New ships, yeah, whenever...

It's always irked me that the ADS and DDS are two units, especially given they are class 1. Quite often you end up with one of them taking a larger slot that could be used for something a little more useful. Or maybe make the ADS more expensive and as a result, capable of both tasks, therefore making it truly 'Advanced'?

Better yet, make them external utilities?

I'm not sure how you intend 1 to work. I can take a type 9 and fill it with fuel tanks, it will then have many times the amount of fuel than a smaller ship like a type 6 or most long range ships like the DBX. In fact many explorers only fit a small fuel tank to maximise jump range on a full tank. How does having more fuel rather than longer jump range differentiate them? Or do you intend that ships only have 1 fuel tank and can't fit extras and all ships have the same jump range? I really need a bit of extra info to decide whether we are thinking the same way about 1. I don't see any way to differentiate ships by the amount of fuel they carry

I think what OP means is the number of jumps a ship can make using only the main fuel tank (no bounty extra fuel tanks). From this, the number of max range jumps a ship can do on the main tank alone would depend on their intended role:
- exploration: >6 jumps (DBX, AspX)
- trade: >6 jumps (T7, T9)
- passenger: >6 jumps (Dolphin, Orca)
- multipurpose: 4-6 jumps (Python, Conda)
- combat: <4 jumps (Vulture, FDL)

I will throw in my wish list:
1. Make a trade ship that is the best trade-ship in the game. Add a Cargo rack only module slot to the T-9, or better, make a T-11 (or a panther clipper).
1a. Toward that end, some long range, big cargo mission that pay enough to make them worth taking.
2. Crew members that do something other than Ship Launched fighters: gunners, load masters, price negotiators, something.
3. Registered ships. A ship would have a federal, Imperial, or alliance registry. In times of war they may not be allowed in opposing factions docks, they might get repair discounts in allied docks, there are plenty of things to do once the ships are registered. More importantly, it would give more meaning to being <whatever side you pick>; yes, as much as some hate to hear it, greater immersion.

1) I'd like to see some of the Independent stations "Bug Out". IE; Dust off the drive, put a call out for fuel and food, have a LOT of passenger missions taking unwilling people off, then that station head out into the Dark, possibly to start a new Bubble as Colonia did.

2) Someone accidentally "Wake up" the Guardians. (They are not as long gone as we thought).
