Horizons 212.483LS - for 531,510 CR ???? Really FD?????

Too high or too low?
Need more information to know if you are in the "muh mershun" or "da grind is reelz" camp ;) :p

I just feel that the current missions are pretty worthless.

I hate to be negative towards FDev because we have made huge strides with recent patches, but, this single mission is taking like forever just to get from star to station for not very much reward. Just MHO. CMIV

I think the title says enough! CMIV

I honestly don't understand why you're so wrathful like that, I don't see any problem with it...
I can't even tell if that's too much or too low for you. I'm not even sure you actually meant light-seconds instead of light-years.

I do passenger missions of about 500LY + return, with rewards that range from 3 to 15 millions.

When I first had my ASPx I had to do 212,000LS with a bloody Python on my tail all the way.
It took a long time with about 20 interdictions.
I would not log out because I didn't want to start the 212,000LS all over again.

All for about 6,000 credits.

That's a good price. Try moving a loaded-out T-9 120Ly for over a million.

What's 500k these days? One or two missions and you're back in the black.

Oh.... you mean mission rewards...

1) Scout - Before you accept a mission, always scout the location on your Gal Map/System Map. No System info, don't accept the mission (but mark that system for a scouting run, because factions in on location tend to send missions to the same group of systems).
2) Schmooze - the friendlier you are with more factions, the more you have your pick of the high-value missions
3) Diversify - do everything. Whatever makes you money. Be good. be bad. Do it all.
4) Stay Put - Don't be a wandering hobo. Find a place and call it home. Work every faction to friendly or allied. Then choose another system close by, and repeat. Now you have twice as many options. Do this for a third system in the other direction. Three times as many options. What I mean is, work a system group.

Now you're set. Load up on haulage missions at A, then when you drop off at B, load up on mining missions. Same for C, then for A again. Now you;ve made a ton on haulage, now go mine, then turn-in at your ABC systems. And so on, and so forth.

Also, don't knock passenger transport (as opposed to tourism). Economy class passengers can make you a lot of money.

You'll be making millions an hour in no time.

What's wrong with the mission? Nothing IMO.

Take it, drop in a few USS's on the way and grab some useable mats. Maybe have a run-in with a pirate or two and grab some bounties along the way too.

I'd take it in a heartbeat.

See your title really doesn't say that much, because you aren't telling us what ship it is that costs, that.

If it is a bigger ship, then that seems fairly fine? if its cutter level or such? and like most things its probably a 'minimum' price.

What I think would help greatly, is to have the distance to station in the mission overview screen. The LY to the sector is there, why not just add the "LS" to the destination base (rather than going through the whole open gal max, load system (if it's available), etc)?

I got too jumpy with the accept button on one and it was 487k ls....

Add to that, getting interdicted every 5 minutes (was in a ship with no guns, so couldn't "fix" that). Good times.

What's MHO, and CMIV?

In my experience you should check out any unknown signals on these long hauls I have found that you can get some good stuff in the way of rare data and materials.

You won't even tell us what the mission is. If its a deleivery mission for less than 10t than your suppose to stack more missions for that location or bring some commiditys with you.

If its a data courier mission than it makes sense. Those are low pay missions, I tend to use them when I am done with a system and want to move onto a new one as a good way to get going in a random direction.

You are really not telling us enougth to make a judgement. Also is ONE mission really worlth an entire thread? I have missions for over a mil in 2.2 to jump just TEN LY. One jump with most ships.
