2560x1600 and FoV

I generally play games in 2560x1600 and Elite: Dangerous has this option, but I notice it messes up the FoV, as in at this resolution it is not possible to go sufficiently far out to view the whole HUD even when the slider is set to maximum.

I'm guessing this is an issue to be ironed out. For the moment I can play in 1080p and the FoV is perfect, but it would be nice to have 2560x1600 as well on release.

My monitor is set at 19XX (something) by 1200.

However i find in game that the cockpit display sometimes comes closer, cutting off my view of the bottom half of my scanners, also the power Sys/Weap/Eng sliders.

Very frustrating.

I suffer from that issue. Can be frustrating

I too had this problem.
1.1 has an issue with 16:10 aspect ratios, but other players have assured me this problem has gone in later builds.
So in the meantime I've dropped from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080 - everything onscreen becomes slightly narrower but at least the correct extent of the cockpit is visible.

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a try :D

Hmm, I assumed this was normal as I'd never thought to try any resolution other than 2560x1600. I'll check a 16:9 resolution tonight.

Thanks, I figured it was to do with 16:10 which is why everything looks fine for me in 1080p instead. Looking forward to 30th May to see if I can go back to 2560x1600.
