Just a quick request. If people could throw a comment in the thread here when they vote (e.g. what's the one thing you can't currently do in Elite that you wish you could?) then that should help bump it up and keep it current for long enough to get a decent sized survey on this one too.

I'll start the ball rolling.

I wish I could "dock in a hidden asteroid base".

Great - thanks for pt 2 Alec!

I wish I could...

Go EVA/on foot to explore an abandoned ship/station/ancient alien ruin, to search for intel/loot.

In the last poll it was apparent I was remiss in not having seen a capital ship appear (something I'm currently working to rectify by flying around the Mu Koji conflict zones trying to not get shot for long enough to see this happen). In this poll it already seems like I'm in the minority in not having received a "tip off" mission. Where and how do things things appear?

I want to dock in asteroid bases too.
I want to go into the upper atmosphere of a gas giant and see a huge base floating there, like cloud city from Star Wars.
I want to land on planets with atmospheres.
I want to land on lava planets, see geysers, lava lakes, volcanic eruptions.
I would love to land on a station on a waterworld, some kind of structure resembling a huge drill platform.
I want to dock in an underwater base.
I want to explore huge caves.
I want to spacewalk on the hull of my Anaconda, do some hull repairs.
I want to find a shipwreck in space and don a spacesuit and have a look inside it... and I do not want to find an angry exomorph in there!
I want to see space station complexes like in the picture in my sig
I want to dock my ship in a hangar build into the side of a giant mountain cliff.
I want a Thargoid as a co-pilot

I... want... soooooo.... much...

I wish we could generate missions for Commanders e.g. go collect Lavian Brandy/Fujin Tea/Meta Alloys and I'll pay xxxx credits and some mats ;).

Indeed, can somebody please explain this to Alec - and me? :)

I have no idea what triggered mine. It happened only once to me and I did not do anything with it to be honest. I was too busy doing other stuff.
For a game in which there's nothing to do, according to some, I always seem extraordinary occupied with all kinds of stuff.

i have read, that gaining a new repuation level (getting friendly, getting allied) can trigger those. for the ones i got (4 till now), i can't connect 2 of them to such an event (but as we all know, reputation refresh can sometimes take time).

Such a shame that so little people have been part of muti day player lead expiditions, that's where the game really shines through for me

Done a few of those.

I see that cockpit blowouts are pretty common :)

One I don't see there - survived an encounter with hull integrity down to 1% and successfully docked for repairs.

Hmm done about half of these. Mostly not done much community related stuff, although I ticked the multi-day expedition one because I spent a week on Merope 5c (made a lot of friends).

I'm annoyed I couldn't tick off "visited the Voyager probe". I went hunting for it but couldn't find it. Does anyone have any tips on how to locate it?

I wish I could...

... drop slaves I'd liberated at some underground railroad.

I too have failed to find it. Here's a video that might help (haven't attempted to follow its instructions yet) ...
