I am about halfway to Sag A in my own attempt and at this rate the overheats, close drops etc has my ship modules at 80%-90% and projecting forward I will scrape into dock on my return with my feet on the wind-shield and holding ropes attached to all the broken off bits on my Asp.

I already lost all my refeuling drones (for rescues on the way) because of cargo hatch malfunctions and already burned through half my coolant in emergency overheats. Also almost run out of fuel at one time and fumed my way to a oasis star in the middle of a red dwarf desert. I have the Fuel Rats number on emergency dial now!

But it is good to hear you made it! Gives the rest of us that little bit of extra oomph! to get there and back in one piece.

Many thanks o7 I hope you make it, what you need is that tape that motorsport teams use to slap on broken bodywork! That'll hold your Asp together!

Ironically the only damage I received was when I got distracted by my wife mid jump (why does that sound rude? ;) )and I hadn't throttled down, luckily I had heat sinks and only lost 1% hull and 1-2% off various modules after getting very up close and personal with a star!

Wouldn't it be really funny if we were all in the same mini n.field?
I know that every time someone posts about completing a mission, I check out a couple of my finds to see if they've been claimed by others.

Yeah I was worrying about that too, it's a definite risk of long term exploring that by the time you get back someones claimed that lovely system you thought to be "undiscovered"!!

I'm of two minds; one that says "improbable that we're all scanning the same stuff", and the other that says "stay out for as long as it takes to get Elite without counting on the 50% bonus".

I'm half way through pathfinder I don't think I'll be able to stay out that long to get elite . :/ going to try though because that's what I set out to do when I left

My revenue from exploring is only 1.6M cr, I have a long way to go, and I've only been out for 53 days so far, so cheers, honk and let's hit the friendship drive!

I got about 9mil from two trips no more than 2kly out. I'm sure you're well on your way at 53 days. I'll be happy as hell if I come back and hit elite
