2nd Big Trip Suggestions

Hello fellow explorers of the deep. Im planning my next big trip out after returning from Sag A* and would like some suggestions.

Estimated trip length: 30 days / 50-60k Ly
Average Jump Range: 32Ly
Max Jump range / hr: 2k Ly

This trip isnt necessarily about finding something new or travelling a really long way but instead seeing the sites and maximizing systems visited.

I have been watching the "within 1000Ly" post and may just link those together.

Anything shiny such as nebulas and big stars have already been discovered (possibly) depends what floats your boat.

My first trip (shamless plug here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=142301) was similar to yours, a Sag A* trip + sightseeing on the way back.

My second trip starting shortly after powerplay is directed towards Mintaka B, outer rings and then a loop back towards the centre to pick up the Left hand side of Sag A* since my first trip did the right.

Mainly going outer rim since I now have a Conda instead of an Asp so that longer jump range has to be useful for something
I personally pick my targets by having a main goal and fleshing out with systems to visit.

I.e. Main goal for trip #1 was see Sag A* and Nebula. Main goal for trip #2 is get as far away from Sag A* without taking too long and travel an arm of the galaxy to the centre/pill.

Best idea... don't have a goal just pick an interesting looking target and don't worry about getting side tracked by other pretties you see along the way.

Thank you all. I've decided to go nebula hopping toward Monkey Head and around Heart/Soul. Then take it from there back toward the right side of the Core.

Estimated trip length: 30 days / 50-60k Ly

Without knowing your jump range, but estimating it at the average 25ly, this length is about 1.6 to 2hrs of NOT STOPPING NOT SCANNING EVEN MAIN STAR, JUST CRUISING jumping time a day!

50k-60k is not a small distance and unless you can spend way more than that a day, 30 days will come and go before you know it..

Jump range is near 32Ly in this rig for about a 2k Ly/hr straight jumping. I play an average of 2 hrs a day so that's plenty of extra time to make the 60k Ly round trip

And if I spend a bit longer than 30 days that's ok. I'm taking my time this time instead of racing to Sag A*.
