3.0.4 wishlist; visited stars et al

The galmap feature visited systems, doesn't include historic locations I have visited, which is a shame as my long exploring routes and first discoveries aren't flagged. Would be great if this can be back tracked or another feature 'first discoveries' is added.

plus a vote for linking xbox ED to one drive to EDSM somehow
and instead of the inventory list for materials/ data, show it same as the material trader schematic, so we know what mats we have, we don't have and the trade offs. Whilst the new engineers is great the gathering of the right mat in the right place is woeful.

plus allow engineers to stock all grades of their applicable modules, I engineer ship by ship as I cant keep track of what module to upgrade

Put a shipyard at the engineers to save shuttling to and fro from a shipyard

put an engineer in colonia, just because it would be cool

sort out the permit locked systems (lore ones) that can't be accessed due to faction unavailable issues

downgrade access to Lori Jameson, cos I dont do combat much and a only at Master...
anything to add?

GalMap does have a ‘visited stars’ filter, but I think a ‘first to discover’ filter would be great as well. I tend to keep a notebook with the really interesting systems that I have tags in, but it would be nice if it were an in game feature. Or even have it in the right hand panel somewhere with a list of system names you were first to discover.

AFAIK back then (right after the "Visited Systems" Filter was implemented) I wrote something like this into the Suggestion Forums :

- have Servers run a check to Filter for any System the Player has any System Map Data for
- exclude all Systems within 20LY of any inhabited System (those go into a post-processing List B)

This produces a reliable list of all Systems >20LY from inhabited Systems the Player must have visited, since there's no other means to obtain the Map Data.

List B (Map Data available within 20LY of inhabited Systems) :
- have Servers run a check to Filter for any of these Systems where the Player has any DSS Data on any contained Body

This produces a reliable list of all Systems the Player must have visited as well, since no DSS Data can be purchased from UC - hence the Player must have scanned within these Systems.

Both combined would produce a fairly reliable list of Systems the Player must have visited.
(AFAIK even passing through a System without even honking still causes the Discovery Scanner to run its passive basic scan, so even a Buckyball runner that never honked the Scanner "should" see such Systems as well)

Only Players passing Systems with no Discovery Scanner equipped at all would still not turn up in this List, but I see absolutely no way of recovering or deriving this Information.

I think any other QoL updates we will be looking at 3.1. Any minor patches will be for bugs and the stuff already mentioned like the KWS update.
