Those are not very good reasons.
1) Well, this one kind of makes sense. If they still have bugs then they will have to do more testing and debugging and that takes time. And I'd rather have a fully working game than one release before it's ready.
2) If you follow that logic then it's even better if the game is released in 2016 or 2018 because the hardware will be even cheaper then. Hell, it would be best if the game is never released because then we never need to buy new hardware!
3) This one makes no sense at all. What does releasing the game have to do with the consumer version of the rift?
Which is ironic, as one of the reasons for going down the Kickstarter route was to avoid pressure from a publisher to release on a particular dateThe more the release is delayed, the less money FD will make this financial year and the less chance that FD will be able to deliver expansions. Christmas 2014 is an absolute must from a sales and marketing perspective due to the copies that will be sold during that period as presents. Further delays will mean that FD will lose the initiative on the current hype.
I haven't voted yet as I am wondering if FD can afford to wait to 2015. I think as soon as ED is released FD will start selling a lot more copies, and will end up with a lot more money for more long term support.
Did I explain that ok?

With regards to 3) a lot of people want to use the Rift from the very first day of play, but most are not developers and so a DK2 is going to be... troublesome. However, the CV1 will (hopefully) be completely plug and play and so the very day you launch you could be experiencing the game in a way that has made grown men cry (really).
