3 Water Giant System

Extremely rare, but like Helium giants if you find one in a system there's a good chance you'll find more in the same system. The chance for the conditions to be right for them to form is very low, but when the conditions are right several can form at the same time.

Actually since i learned to distinguish them by sounds i'm finding a lot more. Last gaming session it was 3 in 50 jumps. COULD it be that we tend to overlook them, so they are SLIGHTLY more common than what is thought?

I find more of those than I do waterworlds, and definately more than ELW's.
Well, I do scan every planet that has the Earth-like HUD icon, and I've seen only 2 or 3 Water Giants this year.

I think you had "bad luck". A single explorer point of wiev always suffers from being a very limited sample of 400 billion systems. In my last trip of 800 systems i've scanned 12 Water Giants. My sample is not valid either, but my guessing and the guessing of others is that Water Giants are indeed more frequent than ELW.

well... here is my contribution to the water giant thread.

EDIT... yes i whited out the system... i'm kinda jealous of my finds and i'm still currently outbound.

now that i found one i have suddenly found a second. not sure if its due to me being in a area that's more susceptible to having them or if its just due to me actually LOOKING for them.

thanks for the heads up on the unedited one still being up... and rare/pay alot or not... i just like having MY name on them first.
