So how common are Water Giants? Because I've just, without really trying, found 3 in a single system within 1kly from Sol... previously I'd only found 1.
In my (limited) experience, they are rare indeed. So how common are Water Giants? Because I've just, without really trying, found 3 in a single system within 1kly from Sol... previously I'd only found 1.
Actually since i learned to distinguish them by sounds i'm finding a lot more. Last gaming session it was 3 in 50 jumps. COULD it be that we tend to overlook them, so they are SLIGHTLY more common than what is thought?
Well, I do scan every planet that has the Earth-like HUD icon, and I've seen only 2 or 3 Water Giants this year.I find more of those than I do waterworlds, and definately more than ELW's.

Are you thinking of Gas Giants with Water-Based Life? The OP is referring to Water Giants.I find more of those than I do waterworlds, and definately more than ELW's.

EDIT... yes i whited out the system... i'm kinda jealous of my finds and i'm still currently outbound.
Rare they are, but they don't pay much.Water Giants aren't rare enough that someone will go out to steal your find.
