3 years of waiting for nothing .. cheated endgame.

So 3 years ago i heard about this Game and was so hyped like Never before. waited patiently, but my pc died.
But then i heard the Game comes to ps4, so the Hype returned.
So im playing the Game, having the blast of my life trading from a to b for a few Coins. Everything feeling so longliving and slow progressing(Not sarcastic) so Amazing compared to all the new age games that dont last you 3 hours of enjoyment dir 70€.
So the blast ended yesterday when i found out how People make serious money in the Game.
Cheating like as in board flipping. Abusing a mistake in the System. Really After 3 years You couldnt fix that?!
So now Everything feels like so pointless.. like as in Why should i trade from a to b for a Profit of 3 mil when i can go to the Cheater System and do 75mil/Hour.. or bounty hunting for 1mil a Hour. Everything feels pointless Now..
Im so sad how the best Game i ever touched in 16 years, its Core is so .. Filthy.

If you only measure your enjoyment of a game by how much money you can earn per hour, why are you playing this game?

If other people want to spend their game time switching mission boards instead of flying their spaceship, so what?

Yes, there are some ludicrous get rich quick schemes, but one of your examples - bounty hunting for 1M Cr/hr - is perfectly normal.

But it boils down to this: you can either play the game your way, or not. It's not a competition. Just because an exploit or edge case mission scenario exists doesn't mean you have to use it.

Oh, and as for 'cheated endgame'? There is no end game. There is no goal. You'll never rescue the princess, because there isn't a princess.

Play your game, have fun, it's not a competition, it's recreation.

Besides, bounty hunting for 1 mil/hour? You can take passengers for more in one hop?

Take your own path, no one forces you to use exploits like Quince, I don't. Sure I know I could make 20x more credits by doing that but I don't care.

Board hopping is naughty, but Bounty Hunting in a RES and earning credits isn't cheating, its a legitimate way of earning money, albeit with the help of the Security Forces

As Willowfan says, don't worry what others are doing, just play how you want to play and get the sense of achievement the way you want to.

There was a bug in Frontier: Elite 2 on the Amiga which when trying to sell your ship for a cheaper one with a passenger onboard, would still give you the difference in credits. The amount of billionaires in Panther Clippers would have been insane were it an online game, but it still didnt stop me enjoying it and earning cash a legit way.

Trade for 3mil per Trip
Hunt for 1mil a Hour
If you can "cheat" for 75mil/h
Anyway..
Some smart answers in here, kinda was Making a Competition against myself by getting into Trading and creds/Hour ��

Why shouldn't you play without exploits? It's how I've played the game for the last two years.

Money isn't the goal here. Having fun is.

Have fun.


Edit: by which I mean, why should you use an exploit just because it's there? I never have and I've been playing for 2 years.

I literally do not give a damn what others are doing. If they want to abuse something, cheat exploit, they can go for it. It doesn't do anything to me. I have been playing since original beta and as of right now only got about 20-30 million credits and a number of ships.

OP you said you was enjoying trading, so go and enjoy your trading as before and let the rest of the galaxy pass you by.

Humans have been around for varaious length of time depending on your religious beliefs. There's a story of a man killing his brother basically because he was as one who's hip today would say jelly.

Zoom ahead to today, nothings changed, what makes you thing that any thing will be any different in relationship to human traits like being jelly in another 1,286 years. I mean just look at all the pirating, greifing, deliberate destructions for no apparent reason except kicks and giggles, faction wars, the name of the game includes the word "Dnagerous" for a reason. That should have been a heads up when buying it. Though human have changed physically, they haven't changed mentaly since the concept of humans began. Human traits are just that, they don't and never will go away.
