30 seconds to comply

So I've just been reassigning keys, so a bit distracted + I'm heading in to dock on an Occelus in a slow lumbering Type-6.

Entering through the slot I glance down at the HUD for which pad I'd been assigned.

Huh! nothing there!?

Then red text appearing in the top left corner...

"Docking infraction you have 30 seconds to vacate"

OH *************!!!!!! POWER UP THE SHIELDS!!! (yeah like that's gonna help!)

Unfortunately Type-6s aren't the quickest turning ships and it's taking far too long to get the space cow to 180.

But she does come round eventually, I get it facing the right direction, hit the throttle followed by boost scraping the exit tunnel as I leave.

I got out of the station with a couple of seconds to spare.

Ha! Love it =D

Nice read!

But the Type 6 you fly must be stock? I kept my, as its the biggest ship i have, able to dock in outposts. Its full A grade and boy, this thing is manouverable with top thrusters! Also A grade power plant and distributors make continous boosting possible- it can reach and sustain over 400 speed- fully loaded outruns a cobra. Recently i was rebasing it and flying it empty- it was as manouverable as an Eagle!

Type 6 is not a space cow. It deserves respect.

I'd literally upgraded my thrusters the station before (C4s), so perhaps that's what got me out. It was lumbering but yes I think upgrades make a big difference on type Type-6.
