33ly jumps in an iCourier?

I picked my my iCourier today, thanks to everyone for the fast ranking advice. So far I love this ship. Quick question, in ED wiki it states the max modified jump range is 33ly. With all a-rated stuff I can only get it to 20ly. I'm still a newbi is there any secret or was that a misprint?

Maybe that's where I messed up, I got a rated everything. I'll try to lighten it up. I'm happy with 20 but more is always better. Usually how much does it cost to engineer a FSD? Iv got an invite for one engineer about it.

Meh. Engineers.

Use 2A shields with shield boosters and 3A thrusters. Live with that 20LY jump and go and enjoy those canyons.
If you want to get somewhere quickly, use an Asp. If you want to have fun, fly the Courier

To meet Farseer you need to have an exploration rank of Scout, then you get an invite. You will then need to go to Maia and buy 1 meta alloy 50k I think. Give it to her and she is unlocked then all you need it materials to make modifications.

Getting these materials will crush your soul, especially when you make the mod with her you learn the outcome is Random. So all the time you spent collecting stuff could be worthless :D

Glhf :)

As kdjac said, with slight clarification, the "D" class modules are all the low-weight versions, it's what defines the "D" class. Obviously, you need the "A" version of the frame shift drive to make the distances. Engineers don't charge money, they use materials that you have to find. There is a random factor to what exactly you get in terms of trade-offs.

Keep in mind, even though D class is the lightest, you can often get away with using the A class of a lower number i.e. using a 2A powerplant instead of a 4D, using 2A thrusters instead of 3D thrusters.
