Ok so I rolled back to the previous driver to mess with some DSR in Elite again (Since it broke in 347.09 as well for the Rift), but I also noticed a change I didn't expect from a driver.
With 347.09, I noticed that in Extended mode, I was able to see the Desktop in the Rift, in proper 3D and fitting the Rift view area so to speak, as if I was running VR Desktop but without motion/head tracking.
Rolling back to the previous driver, I was back to having a Rift screen filling desktop that you can only see part of in both eyes.
Am I correct in that the 347.09 driver changed this as well for others?
Maybe this is part of the reason the VR implementation broke for Elite somewhat, but at the same time, is kind of cool that Nvidia is working to support VR/The Rift a bit on their own and making the desktop fully visible when you have to work in Extended mode is a helpful feature for sure.
