hm considering the latency on those things this is a little surprising, guess namely because there is no main server the game is not very latency sensitive other then when you actually meet other players, still say hybrid would be best, where server confirms things and makes sure same 'seeds' of npc's e.t.c. but other then that leaves it to p2p

I would say that if you are in solo, you wouldn't have to worry too much about latency. The only thing you need your connection for is authentication and the BG sim updates. Once the bandwidth is good enough and it doesn't drop ping too much I'd say solo play is perfectly playable on a satellite connection like that.

Very cool. Now if only the Internet on planes was a thing when I flew on Concorde :)

Cool. The only video game I played a lot on a plane was Angry Birds on a bench seat in the back of a C-130 overseas. Bumpy air kept throwing my bird aim off.

Not on an emirates airbus. He isn't flying easyjet.
Yeah, Emirates is the bomb. Flew on one once going from Kuwait to Dubai and even though the flight was less than an hour it was glorious.
But the non-stop from D.C. to Kuwait in cattle class is murder.

Lucky you! I only saw it from the ground - a couple of times in Sydney, a few times in London, and in 1976 article 002 tearing along the Yorkshire coast.

I managed to get on board 002 eventually, but only in the museum at Duxford. Still the most beautiful aircraft ever built without a propeller.

But an Amiga on your lap on Concorde? I don't think so.
