I have to go into settings and choose HMD with headphones each time I launch the game, shouldn't this be saved in the config file somewhere? I seem to recall it used to remember this, but starting a few weeks ago I have to reset it each time. Thx.

Yep - I've had the same problem for the last several weeks. It just 'happened'.
The only way I can get an 'auto' launch now is by going via SteamVR. Otherwise, launch, reset the HMD setting and there we go.
Annoying. Probably worth filing a bug report, although as it's not related to Combat or PVP it may take a while to float to the top of the priority list.

Have you guys tried DrKaii's ED Profiler? - it might help (and worth using anyway for easy selection from multiple graphics profiles).

It happens for some reason when you launch it through Steam now. If you launch the launcher directly (...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Elite Dangerous\EDLaunch.exe) then it works as it should with the HMD selected.

OK, so I'm not crazy then. I'll try launching directly and see if that helps. Also, the profiler tool looks cool. Thanks!
