General / Off-Topic 3D Showroom

Imagine Ola got a job at frontier and started getting in on the streams! "Oh, another giveaway Bo? You've given out like 9 Planet Coaster codes already!" Bo: "But I like to do giveaways! They are so fun.." Ola: "Don't make me model you as yourself but with planet coaster textures all over your body!" Bo: "I will be the PC wall then!"

wow! why don't see this thread before? :D I like so much your 3d art OlaHaldor. Im 3d artist too, I like your train models, this are for trainz or trainsim? Years ago I played trainz 2009 and 2012, but never maked some custom content for this game.
Your are the 2nd 3d artist, that I see in the forum. [praise]

Please share more of your art soon! Regards.

Thank you guys :)
TemmV2, I'm not sure I got that story of yours, though giveaways are always good :) And I'd be honored if I landed a job at Frontier!

Thank you Albert. :) The models are available as mods for the newly released Transport Fever (sort of a Transport Tycoon or Locomotion if you ever have played it). With some effort and higher polygon counts I guess they could be usable in something like Train Simulator or Trainz indeed. :)

I wish I could share what I do at work. In due time, a teaser or a trailer will be out. [up] I'll post it here whenever it's greenlit!

Finally, first teaser is out! (it's norwegian, but I think it will be sold world wide and dubbed.)

The characters are mostly modeled in Maya by other artists here, while I've used Modo for unwrapping them.
The dock set in the background is 100% modeled and uv mapped in Modo by me. The mountain was made in World Machine.
Everything have been textured in Substance Painter.

COOL! That is a great piece of modeling and animation!
Will this be an animation movie (or a short?) or something else like a series?

Thank you :) It's a feature length animated movie. It's not a new character or universe, but the lead character meets new adventures and challenges.

The original TV series (and later a movie) are aimed for kids, I guess, 3-8 years old or something. We're taking it up a notch with both water sim, more detailed environments, textures and more detailed animation. :)
