Hardware & Technical 3dmark scores just for fun...

Purely out of curiosity and because I've got a day off and not much else to do, anyone care to share their 3dmark scores (for any 3dmark benchmark)??

(3dmark is a free industry standard graphics benchmarking tool available via steam)

No judgements made on low or high scores, this is only intended in the spirit of friendly competition and out of a genuine curiosity as to what other Elite players machines are capable of outside of running Elite!

Not sure what kind of score would actually qualify a rig as being high/mid or budget, but it's a fair bet, we are all running gaming rigs of one kind or another :)

I'd suggest a format for responses so it's easy to compare scores (if anyone is in fact up for this)...

Is it free? I see a hefty price tag of €28 on Steam, which is kinda ridiculous for what it is.

If I remember right, if you download the demo (from steam) you get access to all the standard benchmarks but not the ultra or extreme versions. Also with the free versions you can't alter the tests to do custom runs.

So I was going to try this to show y'all what a mediocre machine scores at :D but I can't get the silly software to install.

Well actually 3DMark installs but wont run as it's for Win 8 or 10 systems. I still run Win 7.

3DMark 11 which says it runs on Win 7 just hangs at 16% installing. Yes I uninstalled the "newer" software, cleared Windows cache and temp files by running Disk Cleanup and Mcafee Quick Clean and rebooted more times than I can count. Task Manager says something light is going on (9-20% CPU usage, flat 2.93 GB RAM usage) but doesn't look like a software install. Just the system staying awake.

I am about to hit the delete button on this thing and move forward with my life unless someone has an idea for a fix.

Sorry to hear it won't work :(

No ideas for a fix, but have some rep anyway :)

I'll take care of that for you.

Nowt has changed on my rig since I ran these back in Mid 2016 (Apart from OS Releases)

FireStrike: 16064

TimeSpy: 5703

Yeah, well, umm, that there's a high end machine in my neighborhood Mister. :D

If I were to be able to get stats I bet my result would be "84% of results are better than yours"!

Just think what an i5-4460 @ 3.2GHz, 16GB DDR3, Win 7 64 bit, GTX 1080 and an SSD would give.

I bet the whole rig bottlenecks the hell out of the 1080! It's just a stepping stone towards an AMD Ryzen build bought during the recent GPU price drop.

Alright, you convinced me to share my pathetic scores. :D

Specs:
Ryzen 1500X at 3.9GHz
16GB RAM
RX580 at 1490GHz
8GB RAM at 2150MHz
Windows 10
Kingston SSD

I don't have an overclocking MB, but I managed to get my RX580 to almost 1500MHz which is something, I guess.

They've just released another benchmark test, aimed at integrated dx12 gfx parts and notebooks, it's a bit light for gaming rigs but hell, why not...

Score 55668
Gfx score 114361 (test 1 437.44fps, test 2 736.74fps)
Cpu score 14244

www.3dmark.com/3dm/29223962?

I was very briefly at number 1 in the hall of fame.. now sadly 18th :(

Considering it has no value.

Umm nope. No buy.

Id say it does have a certain amount of value, it provides a good comparative tool, especially good after a new system build to make sure everything is running as it should. Also includes built in stress tests for OCing which are pretty useful.

As I mentioned, when I picked it up, the free version came with everything except timespy extreme and firestrike extreme.
