4 weddings and a funeral

So, after my accidental game wipe fiasco on Saturday I decided to start with a clean slate and take the Eagle out for a test flight. I dropped by some USSs and to my delight, made about 100k credits in about an hour ridding the system of undesirables.
Great, this could be a new career for me.

It takes a bit of time to drop in to those USS and I came across several weddings and funerals. To start with, I flew in (extremely close) formation with them for a bit, even recreated the classic Top Gun scene and gave them the bird. HINT: don’t try shooting at any of the wedding guys, they don’t like it when you try to ruin their big day.

I’ve noticed 5 main types of occurrences at USS; A battle (yay) – some loot - A lone ship wanting to buy electronics –– or a wedding / funeral.
As soon as I spot the latter, I just SC off to the next one. But then I was thinking last night…what’s their purpose? Should I try to communicate with them? If so, how?
Perhaps if I hang around long enough, I’ll be invited to the shindig and get some wedding cake?

What’s with the guy wanting to buy electronics? Is there a way to trade with him?

there are missions to kill members of the wedding and funeral parties and yes, you can sell the electronics guy goods. i've not done it myself since early in the standard beta and back then you just flew close and the cargo magically transferred but i understand from another user that you can now jettason cargo for him to pick up.

ah..I see!
I'd like to get in to doing some more missions because I think it helps with the Rep etc.
Going around killing random wanted guys doesn't seem to help with that.
