400CR

Why is this my reward everytime I do something for my power? (i.e transport supplies, kill enemy in our territory)

Seems a little skimpy no?

I mean, I get like 5,000-30,000 average from killing wanted stuff at the nav beacon, but I get 400 for travelling to a system under threat, pulling an enemy intruder out of supercruise, and killing them.

The rich don't stay rich by just GIVING out money.

I turned in 81 kills Anaconda to imperial fighters, I got like 8500cr and I can't remember the merits.
Yeah, I'm really liking powerplay. The enemy NPC are much better than before and none of them are above "mostly harmless".
But I need some bounties to cash in......I'm used to a good 5-8million credits for that kind of work.
Didn't even pay for the chaffe, 2 shield cells, and fuel I used.....Stingy royals.

Nope, you get up to 50000000 credits a week if you do this stuff enough.

Your power doesn´t care if you went to some place and killed a transport. It wants you to do so over and over again until it have a decent impact.

I think the idea is that pledging to a power isn't a carrier choice. You pledge in support of someone and their ideal.
If you want money, keep at what you were doing pre 1.3, it is still there.

I believe there was actually no payment at all in the beta, and the weekly salary and various rewards (i.e. your 400cr) have been implemented later as players were arguing that it wasn't making sense to work for a power for nothing while still dealing with repairs and fuel expenses.
As much as it was a fair argument, hence FD brought money in the system, the idea remains that it is not a carrier choice. So the payments you are getting are simply there to cover the costs.

I might be completely wrong as I haven't heard/read it from anyone from FD, but this is how I understand it.

It is not just power play missions doing this 400cr thing. Been pulled out of super-cruise, twice now, once a clipper and once two pirates, sidewinder and eagle, 400cr for each of them. Didn't really think about it as the two pirates were 1st. Littel ships, means little reward, but a Clipper?

Arry.

Where are you getting this 50 million figure from? Do the rewards scale eventually? Or is it 50,000,000/400 = 125,000 deeds per week to earn that cash?

If you hit rating 5, then you get a weekly bonus of 50 million.

But the merits required + the decay make that virtually impossible to get to.
Unless you don't have family/ work/ school, and can afford to play many hours a day, every day.

You either profit doing something else, or no-life it getting to Tier 5 where the real rewards are. There's no middle ground for participation in Powerplay. This should be fixed.

400cr! Thats fantastic. How many people can you feed with that? 400cr will buy tonnes of essentials. Its a big payout.

Think of it like this

Poweplay is not about money, is about Power...and Glory.

Then it will fail as no new players will want to play it as they will become bankrupt.
Why kill a big ship such as a conda in a military strike zone for 100cr when you can go to a RES zone and get upwards of 150k for it.

Problem is, that the rewards you get do not cover the costs associated with what you need to do.
I really hope FD change their position on credit reward for the work you put into it, and lower the amount of merit needed to hit these ranks.
