Engineers 4D Thrusters in an Exploraconda - Minimum Size PD Required for Boost?

Just have put these extreme undersized thrusters into my stripped down Anaconda, grade 1 reinforced with drive distributors does the trick. Now you can boost with those in an Asp X with a 1D grade 5 engine focused PD, but not in an Anaconda, probably due to the higher mass.

Does a 2D grade 5 engine focused PD suffice here or do I even need a 3D PD? I don't like to waste my engineering mats here, especially not the military supercapacitors...

Many thanks for helping me with this one!

AFAIK thrusters don't have anything to do with boost, it's purely PD. According to this thread you need 29MJ in your engine capacitor to boost a 'conda. This may or may not be accurate. According to coriolis you can do it with a 4D and g5 engine focused which only has 27.2mj.

Yes, exactly what I've been looking for. I was of the erroneous opinion that only thruster size was somewhat related to PD size. I owe you a beer at Jaques Station.
