Hardware & Technical 4k fps issue

Hi comanders i have a 1080ti with a 8700k and im having issues runing this game at a stable 60fps. In dogfights im getting 15-30 fps ive maxed out settings is somthing going on because ive also tryed at 1080 and im getting the same results so i know somthing is wrong any info will help thanks in advance

Really need more specs then just your graphic cards and cpu. motherboard, ram? specs?, you can have the most powerful graphic card in the world, and still get bad fps if the rest of your hardware can't keep up.

What troubleshooting steps have you done so far? Tried different nvidia drivers? Made any changes in the nvidia control panel? Checked that Windows Gaming stuff is turned off? Checked for background processes hogging the CPU? Are you using any 3rd party graphics utilities (Afterburner etc.)? Fullscreen, Windowed or Borderless?

Are you overclocking any components? Is this in Open or Solo? Take a screenshot of your graphics settings, upload to imgur and link it here.

My mother board is msi fatality i7 the ram is 16gb 3200mhz i went all out on this rig so no halve rig here

glancing about, try troubleshooting, have you tried a different pci-x port for graphic card? made sure it is running 16x gen3?

also do yourself a favor and reset your bios settings and don't enable anything special and check performance there, I've myself experienced that some custom settings do not play nice with windows, so try default settings to make rule out that.

and maybe https://forums.geforce.com/default/...ries/terrible-gtx-1080-performance-solved-/1/
can give some clues to help?

Its in solo cpu is oc to 4.7 gpu is oc to 1987mhz i use the evga oc software . What windos gaming stuff are you tefering to?what background processes only stuff i have euning is the oc software and voice attack my drivers are up to date did that last week

Oh, absolutely. Don't use any multisampling or supersampling on 4k. You will effectively increase resolution even further, which is ridiculous :)

This, SMAA needs to be off, it is nice, and I wish they'd add CTAA which is significantly better and much lighter. SMAA effectively boosts your resolution again, beyond 4k effectively 8k and downsamples, and no single graphic card is really ready for that.
Heck turn off Anti aliasing all together. 4K makes up for the need for anti aliasing, and you are effectively just wasting performance.

I wasn't on the gpu i was on the cpu because i have a crack in my custom loop at the cpu block the evga oc software didnt have the cpu temp when i switched to nzt cam oc software i Immediately saw the CPU spike it would hit 99C and then crash. Luckily I have a warranty with the manufacture and they're gonna take care of it I just have to ship it wait a month smh they said if anything is bad thell replace it ive only had it for like a little under a month. Fyi if anyone wants custom cooling stick with soft tubing this way when or if this happened again it would be a quik cut of the tube and refill the fluid and your back gaming

Nope, leave smaa on, you need some antialiasing even at 4k and smaa is low impact post process AA and has virtually no performance hit.

Since I have the same spec as the OP, I can say with certainty that he should be getting way better FPS than he's currently seeing, 100fps+ everywhere @4k/ultra.

I'd try the following:
-Make sure you don't have supersampling set above 1.0
-Update your driver's
-Re-seat the GPU and disconnect/reconnect all the power cables.

+Try the same dogfight in solo play, no matter how powerful your pc, you only need one fool playing on a dialup junk connection to drag an entire instance of cmdrs into slideshow territory.

Beyond that, I'd check the performance of the card itself, run something like unigine valley or 3d mark firestrike and see if your results are similar to others. Same goes for CPU performance, download cinebench and make sure you're performing as you should be. For reference, my own 8700k hits a score of 1652 in cinebench, and my GPU gets around 6637 in unigine valley benchmark (extremeHD preset), you should see similar scores, if you don't, it may be a faulty CPU/GPU.

Its my cooling loop in my system it has a hiar line crack in it right by the cpu block it was causing the problem its being fixed now . Smh i knew i should of went with soft tubing instead of hard tubing . The evga oc software didnt have the cpu temps so i couldn't see the cpu temp spike i also had nxt cam software thats how i got to see the cpu temps
