5 most wanted: Federation.

So how does it work for you? Do you kill clean ships in empire space (alligence?) then fly to fed space to reload, repair and refuel?
Do the fines and bounties you incur only apply in empire space? I guess with a KWS someone could see your bounty and claim it right?

Only if he finds him in space where he's wanted. A 100k imperial bounty can only be legally claimed in Empire space. If you KWS someone and he's clean with a bounty, shooting him will be a bounty on your head. In this case, attacking Arktac in an independent system will allow you to claim the bounty, but you'll be wanted in that system.

that why you don't get scanned when you dock, the security ships don't bother to scan you because they know your hostile already so its no problem. Have you even been hostile yet?

I thought at hostile you don't get docking permission anymore?

if you were to shoot someone in the station vicinity it would deny you docking, what I would do was get out of the stations gun range and just kill endless federation authority ships and when I was out of ammo I would go into supercruise and then drop out at the station and request docking and then dock while under fire from the authority ships, just put 4 pips to shields and your fine.

If you have a fuel scoop and only energy weapons equipped, I suppose you could survive indefinitely without docking. If you needed to dock for some reason, it would just be a matter of flying to an independent or anarchic system.

Yep, would need to repair W&T I guess. So probably an anarchy system with a station.

False, the second you are scanned that station will blow you up in seconds. If you are within 3Km of that station when you are scanned then you are not leaving that area alive.

Station security ships generally scan for cargo way before the scan for crimes (they don't even scan for crimes most times).

Your chance of being scan for crime while docking is actually very very low.

I was hostile with federation due to the bug in gamma. I was able to dock at any federation station, however, the authority ships would fire on me if scanned, so I had to stick to outposts.

They reset everyone affected by this but bug to unfriendly status, and now the stations just send me really hurtful messages! I wish they'd just fire on me because their words are so mean. ;)

One of the most wanted has a youtube channel, I can't remember his name just now... but he was the most wanted for much of last week anyway.

if he was to post afew videos on the forum im sure he would get some active viewers. Hell I'd watch it cuz hes famous :D haha

Can anyone tell me how these cmdrs have such high bounties on their heads?

They kill people the authorities say they shouldn't.

Station firepower was increased substantially around beta 2 or 3, but it's still possible to survive the station's guns if you get out of the area fast and take evasive action. Lot harder than it used to be though.

Wear and tear eventually takes a toll, but I've spent upwards of twenty consecutive play hours without docking.

Basically the top 5 bounty list people will dock anywhere they want, they will be attacked by the security ships outside of the station and if they don't shoot back they are safe as soon as they fly inside the station its no biggie, when they are in federation space they will be constantly interdicted by federation authority ships, it was happening to me every 10 seconds. They got the huge bountys by killing federation authority ships, if they die to a authority ship they will have to pay there bounty off at the insurance buyback screen at 150% plus a another fee my bounty was 2.7million and I ended up paying 4 million back then the cycle starts again even though your now clean and have no record all the federation ships still attack you constantly and if you fire back you will be come wanted again, I clear saved and have positive rep with all the factions.

ahh oh wow... thats shocking, a bit overly tough on piracy, not sure what all the fuss is coming from people whom want further penalties on this aspect of play. Pirates are the real elite dangerous in this game. Thanks for sharing this, since i now know what im in for when im ready to take this route.
