50% off all Elite Dangerous HCS VoicePacks - Black Friday Discount is already available

I was recently emailed this offer. Will have a browse, but think I have all the packs I require. Over time I have stuck with Astra as she is the only pack that offers the personalised by name commands.

Not a fan of voice commands per se, but I really like Shatner's voice and the more detailed stuff that's being added to even basic actions such as undocking. Not sure though how much that would grate after extended play - I tend to switch off certain COVAS bits sometimes (fuel scoop when travelling somewhere further away for example).

I wish i could give away my carina. Its so crap she sounds male.

I restore my windows install a few times a year and haven't been bothered training the voice thing again.

Also if you're thinking about going nuts you don't need more than 4 there are only that many roles on the ship (the fifth only says 2 commands).

I would suggest this interesting utility to all new players that don't know all key binds or anyone who doesn't have an hotas.
For me it's too late, I had to re bind my hotas so many times that I know all controls by heart plus muscle memory is difficult to reset! :p

But thanks for the info!

The voice packs are being used by over 100,000 players now. That's a LOT of light years covered by the most immersive product for Elite Dangerous ever 😎

It's also the only mod that can give you the closest experience to having crew following every order

Hi
Sorry possibly a stupid question but i see there is a leo (for instance) for Elite and star citizen.
is it possible to use an elite one for star citizen with a bit of tinkering or is there just too much difference between the games to make it workable?

The voice commands needed for SC are much different than the voice commands used in Elite. As well, the voice commands are tied to keystrokes and button assignments on the controller being used. SC uses different bindings for the controller than are assigned in Elite. It would be very difficult to adapt a Voice designed for Elite to be used in SC and since the voice provided for SC is free, why bother.

As well, SC is in flux and bindings/voice commands may change over time. Right now, the HCS Voices provided for SC are more of a "future market" free trial or alpha as it were, and if SC ever becomes a beta or a game, HCS would then be positioned to provide voice command support for it.

There are profiles for both Elite Dangerous (Singularity) and Star Citizen (Event Horizon) in the HCS Tools download. Regardless of which package you download, be it the Star Citizen Version or the Elite Dangerous version of a voice pack.

I’m a full on sucker for these, currently have sixteen....yes, sixteen (including Vasco and Alix which I bought during this Black Friday event.)

I’d totally agree that having more than two on one ship is a bit pointless and too many voices babbling away. However, with the sheer amount of flexibility within the provided configuration panel I’ve found having one, maybe two, voices used for different ships adds some extra variation to my ships. Also, having two accounts, I can have some used on one account and others used on the primary account to give a greater feeling of difference between the two accounts. Though admittedly I’m basically just making up excuses reasons for my runaway spending on this daft game.😊

Said it before but I considered buying a couple of HCS Voice Packs last year but the whole thing with needing to also buy/configure VoiceAttack - and, possibly, some of it's accessories - put me off.

If there was some kind of "bare-bones" version of VA which just recognised different events and then triggered audio responses I'd certainly buy it but the whole thing is just too much of a faff for me at the moment. :(
