So a thread about speculations only (ohh this is really new here! 😂)

What do you guys think Frontier will reveal next week-end at Lavecon?

Will they confirm Spacelegs?
Will they even talk about the 2020 DLC?
Will they only talk about details of the next small updates?
Will there be a presentation of Ice Planets and Fleet Carriers?
New SRV's or ships?
New AI for NPC SRV's?

What do you wish they talk about?
Shoot your thought but don't hype yourself too much as usual.

It will be landing on barren planets with very thin atmosphere and no weather/precipitation. This way they can beta test the atmosphere mechanics and create hype for the future. All without actually needing to add much new content. The planets will look much like the ones we have now just with some volumetric filtering.

Why would the give away for free somthing they can charge for?

In my more optimistic moments I think they might ... MIGHT ... just show something of the 2020 work.

But more realistically, I think we'll get a peek at what's coming in the next small update (which I reckon' will come out shortly afterwards, mid to late July).

The Frontier panel is tentatively scheduled to last for an hour and a half so I reckon maybe 45mins for whatever presentation they have lined up and maybe 45mins for their usual Q&A.

On last Friday afternoon's Frontier livestream (is there a video link to this anywhere?) Will said a couple of things. Early on in the ED bit he said that we'll be seeing some stuff at Lavecon (so confirmation that they are gonna show something and not just do a pure Q&A on the current state of the game) and he was also talking about how much time it takes to prepare for things at one point. He mentioned that the Expo took a year of prep and was then going on to talk about Lavecon. Not sure he mentioned an amount of time but just the way he started to talk about it left me thinking that it wasn't trivial - that they'd definitely spent time preparing a serious presentation.

Either way I plan to have a front row seat!

P.S. quite tempted to join the queue to ask a question and ask about the recent SRV AI job advert and whether it's a new role, a role supporting another developer or a replacement role for an employee who's left.

im going to Lavecon, I hope they tell us something.
they don't need to specify everything.

I guess we may just get the contents of the next quarter update. we had one in April, there is another one due.... I suspect this will be what they talk about.

the 2020 update, I think they will hold back till this time next year.
we never know there could be an EXPO next year..... to announce the massive 2020 changes.
