Our journey just keeps getting interrupted by pretty things.
Two neon rich atmospheres orbiting a Class L dwarf results in some pretty colours, but I must respect that not everyone loves pink.
The light from my SRV reveals that the surface is plain white. The colouration comes from the star through the filter of this tenuous neon atmosphere.
Though it appears that these planets have never been mapped before, that's not to say that they have never been visited. Give it a year or so and this escape pod will be buried forever under the snow. I am reminded of the dangers of being out this far. There were six pods in total scattered over this crash site. There are other reasons, but I decide to respect their last resting place.
Wondering where these people came from, we move to the next system and discover this world with a (relatively) thick covering of Sulphur Dioxide. There's something down here:
A mineralogical survey. Perhaps the team who installed this were the ones I discovered in the neighbouring system!
I must admit to being surprised at the sky colour. I was expecting more green.
Nevertheless, the survey continues.
When the on-board computer tells you that there's a spike in the sensor readings...
