Good lad. ;) No worries, I really am not here to annoy anyone (though it does happen as a side effect occasionally, and I have been known to get rather shirty with people who get shirty with me). Even that post that you thought was being facetious or rude or whatever, you're reading it in the wrong voice, trust me, just think of me as one of those annoying people who is always very direct and passionate. ;) I know we see eye to eye on other things, you've repped me in the past, I remember thinking, "hah, my generation" when I saw your username one time in the past. ;) It's all good bro, you have fun too.

I gave up, couldn't fined any Military Supercapacitors, had to use the broker...rrrrr On the bright site I got ton of Proto Heat Radiators.. Yes, RNG in this game reminds me of another game with progression is 100% based on loot box RNG.

I don;t know why CMDRs are having trouble finding this. Yes its still RNG but I started looking for this last week for the first time.

I looked for High Population, WAR state with not civil wars within and either an industrial or high tech system.

go between 800-1000ls and wonder around that distance, you will find HGE eventually. In two days of about 3-4h play time I found a total of 55 if I recall well.

I actually found way less military alloys than I did supercapacitors.


* YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT STATE ON YOUR SYSTEM DIDN't CHANGE FROM WAR TO NONE" This happend to me and couldn't find ANY for at least 40minutes until I looked at the state and had changed from WAR to NONE.

Also I found to have WAY more luck in finding HGE around 950-990ls from Star!

That's precisely where I was looking, no offense, but I'm not new to Elite and typing in BOLD not gonna change the RNG. For some reason some matts and data do not spawn regardless of the population or the system state deep space or shipping lines close to star or whatever.

HGE's are certainly not rare in V640 Cassiopeia at the moment. They are spawning just minutes apart, and sometimes, this happens...

That´s very nice of you. But I was just sarcastic. I read everything about it. Of course I search in "none"-state. I´m also getting "some". It´s just not enough.

It´s a weird thing with CDC. They are the federal counterpart of Imperial Shielding, which I have absolutely no problem finding. I just stumble upon them. Not so with CDC. There is too much Pro-pollution for a mat you need in high quantities.

It really seems to depend on your luck. Also, although I have no proof of this, it seems that the spawn rate of HGE does not correlate to system pop but is also influenced by a random value that seems to be decided when a player jumps into the system. It seems to me that some systems drop HGE very frequently while others don't despite them being exactly the same in terms of not being binary, population and state.

Well after 45 minutes of pure tedium in a high pop indy outbreak system I have had.......................one HGE.
THAT'S why we play the GAME people......
Honestly, why do we do it lol!

...and on top of that the stupid remote engineer for my FSD didn't stick. Have to go back there again tomorrow. Guess that one is my fault. Somehow............

Getting protoheat radiators are a clue that you're in the wrong system state.

RNGesus smiled on me - just collected 5 lots of Military Supercapacitors and three lots of Military Grade Alloys in HK Aquarii, in about an hour. Just circled the star about 1k out.
